Registered Social Worker (RSW) offering virtual support across Ontario.
ekam manku
I’m Ekam Manku (he/him), a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto. I provide counselling across Ontario to individuals of all ages, couples, and families. My practice welcomes people from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on supporting 2SLGBTQIA+, racialized, and neurodivergent clients.
My approach to therapy is relational and grounded in Narrative Therapy, helping clients explore how personal experiences, relationships, and societal expectations shape their sense of self. I integrate inner child work, parts work, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to support clients navigating anxiety, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, and challenges with identity and belonging. As a racialized, neurodivergent, gay man, I bring lived experience that informs my understanding of identity, belonging, and navigating a world that does not always make space for everyone. We can explore the influence of family, culture, racism, heteronormativity, and ableism while developing practical coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, and building more fulfilling relationships.
I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore your experiences. I believe therapy can help you reconnect with your strengths, develop greater self-compassion, and challenge beliefs that no longer serve you. We can work towards meaningful change, stronger relationships, and a more authentic life aligned with your values and goals.
Areas of Focus:
- Support with anxiety, excessive worry, depression, low mood, stress, and burnout
- Building self-esteem, self-worth, emotional regulation, and healthier boundaries
- Navigating relationship challenges, family conflict, attachment, and inner child healing
- Support with trauma, difficult life experiences, perfectionism, and internalized shame
- Exploring cultural identity, belonging, queer identity, and coming out
- Support with ADHD, neurodivergence, men’s mental health, loneliness, and life transitions
Together, we can explore the stories that have shaped how you see yourself and identify the beliefs, strengths, and values that support the life you want to create.
