Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering virtual support across Ontario.

ERIN BURRELL

I’m Erin Burrell (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario offering virtual therapy to individuals, couples, and families across the province. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carleton University, and a Child and Youth Worker Diploma from St. Lawrence College. With approximately 10 years of experience supporting children, youth, and young adults in school and community settings, I bring a compassionate, collaborative approach to counselling.

My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing on evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and trauma-informed care. I tailor therapy to your unique needs, strengths, and goals, helping you navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. Together, we can work toward building coping strategies, strengthening communication, improving emotional well-being, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

I strive to create a welcoming, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, build new skills, and grow into the person you want to be. I believe you are the expert in your own life and I take a strengths-based approach that allows you to guide your own growth at a pace that feels right for you. I recognize that change can feel daunting and I’m here to offer guidance and support as you navigate your journey toward greater well-being and personal growth.

Areas of Focus:

  • Neurodiversity-affirming care for individuals with ADHD, autism (ASD), and AuDHD
  • Queer-affirming support and inclusive care
  • Developing practical skills to navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, substance use, and addiction
  • Sex-positive, inclusive support for exploring intimacy, sexuality, and personal experiences
  • Couples and relationship counselling, including ethically non-monogamous (ENM) and kink-informed support

I recognize that change can feel daunting and I’m here to offer guidance and support as you navigate your journey toward greater well-being and personal growth.
